Looking over the shoulder of the mountain

Near Garmisch-Partenkirchen, on top of Mount Osterfelderkopf at a height of over 2,000 metres at the base of Alpspitze peak, visitors can stroll along two steel arms 24 metres long, which cross to seemingly form an X in the sky. The two walkways cantilever over the abyss. Those without a fear of heights can walk along grating catwalks to a glass wall at the end of the AlpspiX skywalk and look down into the Höllental valley 1,000 metres below.
